1. Introduction

1.1 Norgesfilm AS (hereinafter Norgesfilm) processes personal data about you, and therefore this Privacy Policy is made available to you. 

It is very important to us that you can always feel confident about how we process your personal information. Norgesfilm ensures that we do everything we can to protect it, prevent unauthorized access to it, ensure that it is correct, that it is only used for the purpose and is deleted when it is no longer needed, can be used for the purpose or for other legal purposes. Your personal information belongs to you.

2. Data controller

2.1 Norgesfilm (address Film & TV Huset, Odderøya 42, 4610 Kristiansand), org.nr 884 374 022, is the data controller. This means that we are responsible for the processing of your personal data provided in connection with one or more of the film streaming services (VideoOnDemand/VOD) Filmoteket, Filmrommet, Filmarkivet, Viddla and other film streaming services and film distribution solutions that Norgesfilm is involved in, as well as the company's website .

3. Purpose and basis for collecting personal data

3.1 We ensure that your personal data is only collected and processed in accordance with the purpose(s) set out here:

1. To deliver services that you have ordered for you and/or your business (contact details) and/or participation in surveys.
2. To be able to respond to any questions, comments or objections you may have (contact details).
3. For statistical purposes and administration of our services. The information is collected so that Norgesfilm can obtain further information about its users and to track their general usage patterns on the services for further development and improvement. 

3.2 Our basis for processing is: Your consent. When the basis for processing is such consent, you have the right to withdraw this at any time.

3.3 We store the information for as long as necessary to provide the service(s) you have ordered.

4. Categories and use of personal data

We process personal data in two main categories: Personally identifiable information, and non-personally identifiable information. 

Personally identifiable information is information that identifies you as an individual. Non-personally identifiable information is information and other data that does not reveal your personal identity.

We collect and process the following information in the following situations:

• You can subscribe to newsletters so that you receive emails from Norgesfilm about current services, for example monthly news about the film streaming service Filmrommet.no for schools, libraries and other public institutions, and newsletters for the libraries' film streaming service Filmoteket. In order for us to send emails to the correct subscriber, you must register your first name, last name and email address, as well as your company if relevant. 
• If you contact Norgesfilm, for example by email, relevant information may be stored.
• When you order a service from us, for example individual rental or subscription to film streaming services, e.g. name, address, phone number, email and IP address. This information is necessary to be able to deliver the ordered service. Card information and other financial information are never stored by Norgesfilm, but are stored by our subcontractor(s) of payment solutions in order for Norgesfilm to be able to deliver the ordered service to you and/or your business.
• When you visit Norgesfilm's film streaming services. Norgesfilm does not link this information directly to you as a user, but to administer, maintain and improve our services, as well as for statistics. The statistics help us to get answers to, for example, the number of people using our services, which pages are most used, how long the visit lasts, search terms, which websites the users come from and which operating system and browser are used. This makes it possible for us to improve our services. 
• Norgesfilm uses "Cookies". These are small information cookies (text files) that the website asks your browser to store on your computer or mobile device. This allows the website to remember your actions or preferences over time, keep you logged in, etc.

5. Your rights

5.1 If you have any questions about our processing of your personal data, you can contact us via the contact information described in section 9.

5.2 You can at any time access your personal data or request us to correct, supplement or delete incorrect personal data by contacting us via the contact information described in section 9. You can also request us to restrict processing or object to our processing of your personal data.

5.3 If you have grounds for and wish to complain about our processing of your personal data, you can contact the Norwegian Data Protection Authority .

6. Transfer of personal data

6.1 The transfer of personal data to professional advisors or third-party providers in order to provide you and/or your business with the services ordered may only take place in accordance with applicable data protection legislation.

6.2 Only trusted employees, representatives and suppliers with a work-related need have, in accordance with applicable data protection legislation, access to your personal data, and only to the extent necessary to be able to deliver ordered service(s) to us or act on our behalf.

6.3 We reserve the right to use or disclose further information to the extent necessary to comply with applicable law, conduct investigations or respond to your inquiries. 

6.4 We transfer your personal data to the email provider MailChimp. The transfer of personal data takes place in accordance with applicable data protection legislation, including entering into data processing agreements with our data processors, but in such a way that personal data is only processed within the specified purposes and so that necessary security considerations are taken into account. 

6.5 Personal data we have collected from you may be transferred to countries outside the EU/EEA. In such cases, Norgesfilm will ensure that the transfer either takes place to countries that the European Commission has determined have an adequate level of security, or that the transfer is based on the European Commission's standard provisions.

7. Archiving and deletion of information

The personal information (name, address, email address, telephone number, etc.) that users have provided on one or more of Norgesfilm's services, including (but not limited to) personal information related to the purchase or rental of films, is stored in Norgesfilm's databases. These databases are stored with our Nordic and global leading operating suppliers with high expertise and experience in data security and privacy. 

Norgesfilm retains information as required or permitted by applicable laws and regulations, including to fulfill your wishes, in billing and archiving contexts, and to fulfill the purposes described in this privacy policy. 

Once data is deleted that is no longer needed, information is deleted from our databases. 

Norgesfilm uses the analysis tool Google Analytics to collect general usage data for our services. This data does not collect personal information, but more technical information such as the end user's operating system, browser, mobile version, time, films and region. This data is used to improve our services and is deleted after 26 months.

8. Securing information

Norgesfilm has established rules and routines for the protection of personal data and privacy.

If we process “non-personally identifiable information” combined with “personally identifiable information” (for example, your name combined with your email address), the combined information will be treated as personally identifiable information. We use recognized methods and systems to protect all information.

If we share your personal information with a third party, we will ensure that arrangements and agreements are in place that secure the information and prevent the third party from using the personal information for purposes other than those agreed upon.

We take all reasonable precautions to ensure that our employees, data processors and third parties who have access to information about you only process that information in accordance with this Statement and our obligations under data protection legislation.
