Let patrons stream movies with their library card
With Filmoteket, it's easy for all your patrons to find a wide selection of films that they can stream directly to their living room – or anywhere – just by logging in with their library card. Approximately 310 of the country's 357 public libraries are affiliated with the service and offer the solid and continuously growing digital film catalog to all their residents.
The Film Library was launched in April 2020, firmly rooted in close collaboration with several of the country's leading libraries, the Nordic region's leading film distributors, and the industry in general.
Over 2500 movies
The catalogue of over 2500 films and series is expanded every week. The library streaming service is integrated with Bibliofil, the Libry Content distribution solution, the National Loan Register and other library systems. The film library is continuously developed and is in line with the Ministry of Culture and Equality's
The film library offers a wide range of genres, and all films have Norwegian subtitles and metadata as part of universal design.
With a user-friendly app for smartphones and tablets, as well as support for playback via TVs, access to your favorite movies is just a tap away!
